adding a rinse

Ok....I know that one would vac, prespray, agitate then extract....which I do...

But when and how and even why would I use a rinsing agent?

I have the RV CFX and 360i ..and also a wand.

Would I extract with 360i then apply rinse(how? using what?) and extract again????

Just trying to understand.
