QD bypass after the pump?

Has anyone ever put a quick disconnect bypass after the pump on your truck mount. I have a 3000 PSI catpump and it seems when I raise it above 2000 PSI hoses on TM tend to pop a leak. I was just thinking of a quick way to get 3000 PSI with no concerns..... just for pressure washing
