Finished marble!

How can you bring marble that has a or plastic finishing coat on the top of it to a high shine. I'm guessing you can not use diamonds on this. Parts of marble has it worn off under couch and stripped to raw where the feet of couch sit. Is there a topical shine you can use... I've never seen this. Sorry I don't have photos
