Agitating carpets what works best?

For commercial carpets after pre spraying which is better purchase a 175 or a CRB for working in the pruduct?
For residential I just used to use my foot then t got a rake that seems to go quicker but for a large commercial job I was wondering the better machine to buy bonnet or rotary brush and what other doors of opportunity could these machine open for me?
