I'm raising my minimum to get rid of low end clients

I currently have a minimum of $119 and am considering raising it to $149.. I have found over the past 3 years of being in business that it is just not worth my time to travel to a job, spend 20 min unloading a truck, 15 to load back up to do 3 rooms of carpet that takes a total of 2 hrs total time or more depending on travel for 119 bucks. These clients that ponder what rooms to have done just to meet the minimum usually have the dirtiest carpet requiring the most amount of time and in my...

Air Duct or another Truck Mount?

Simple decision - difficult to make!

Since starting as a 1 truck operation in August 2019 we've done very well - paid back 30% of our initial investment, bills paid ahead, booked out a decent amount.

Should we add another carpet cleaning truck mount or maybe expand into Air Duct? What do you guys think? By expanding into Air Duct we would want an air duct truck like the H1 or H2.

Area charge vs square ft

How do you structure your pricing and why? We've always charged per sq/ft but I've recently been thinking about switching to a charge per area. How do you guys that charge by area (room, hallway, etc) go about it? Truth is I like the margins on an empty house but its almost easier to clean than walk areas all over the place.

In my case having a fleet of Nissans (Nissans not available in extended atm) I went with a new standard length high top Nissan. Any suggestions appreciated.

I was just doing repair and carpet stretching in homes where i was cleaning carpet. I am now going after more stretching and repair jobs and wanted to compare prices. What do you charge to stretch per room? What do you charge if you have to cut and repair a seam? What do charge for a patch?

Hey guys,
So lately ive been thinking about getting into the carpet cleaning business. However, I know nothing about it. Probably my biggest question would be what materials I need in order to get started. What would my initial investment be and what would be a good machine to buy for someone that is just starting? I know that machines can vary in pricing so Im curious as to what you guys would recommend. Also, when it comes to chemicals, are there any that you recommend as well?

My brother and I have been searching around for buisnesses to start, and we've discovered that there aren't that many carpet cleaners that service our area, so I've been entertaining the idea of starting a buisness, while I don't know a -ton- on the subject, I know the basics (like 100 hours of youtube videos haha) and I've enrolled in an IICRC class coming up in March, plus I plan on going on a couple of local ride alongs if possible.

Damper clicking

I am running a Boxer 318. I have been dealing with a damper letting water pour into the wast tank for over a year. I have brought in twice and it happens 6 months later. I have puled it apart many times thinking it was getting stuck open from debris but this never helped. This last time i noticed a load clicking. I noticed it was trying to stop the water from going into the wast tank as it was clicking. I bought a completely new damper and solenoid, hooked it up and still the same problem...

Tcs Chief II sputter

I tried to attach a video but no luck. We have a chief 2 and when it's under load runs fine (wand on the carpet). But if I unhook attachment and have open hose end it starts to sputter almost sounds like the govener is cutting in and out? We've tried new plugs/ fuel pump and filter and air filter no luck. Sound familiar to anyone?

I just talked to a Namco Rep. I wanted to order a husky. I needed one with a plastic fresh water tank . The rep told me he could send me a husky that has a fresh water tank (not a add on tank)

I know the beast has a fresh water tank, but has anyone herd of a husky with a fresh water tank? I’ve yet to see one

Recently got mentioned tm. It's got just under 5000 hours. I've never owned a tm before and am struggling to find someone to work on it for me.

The story of the machine was I got it with being told it wasn't pumping water and wasn't heating water. When I got it home I had a play with it. I opened a valve on the pressure regulator and it bled out air which seemed to cure the pumping issues. I couldn't test it no further as I don't have it wired to my van to charge the battery.
